About The Position

FCP Euro is entering a new phase of growth as we expand our fulfillment network, introduce greater automation, and prepare to launch a third fulfillment center. While we have built strong foundational safety practices across our existing operations, we are now focused on evolving from good to intentional, scalable, and world-class. To support this next chapter, we are seeking a Head of Safety & Risk Management to design and lead the next generation of our safety culture and enterprise risk management strategy. This role will embed safety into how we design facilities, launch new sites and processes, deploy technology, and make day-to-day operational decisions. This is a highly visible leadership role with the opportunity to shape how FCP Euro grows—safely, sustainably, and proactively. Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive safety leadership experience, including building or significantly evolving safety systems in multi-site operational environments.
  • Experience leading enterprise level risk management related to facility design, automation, material handling, ergonomics, and operational scale
  • Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations and core industrial safety programs (LOTO, machine guarding, PIT/forklift, ergonomics)
  • Proven ability to build and scale safety strategies, policies, and governance frameworks across multi-site operations.
  • Strong experience leading incident investigations, root-cause analysis, risk assessments, and corrective action programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate safety early into facility design, automation projects, equipment selection, and new-site launches.
  • Skilled in safety data analysis, dashboarding, and using insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and training capabilities, effective across executives, supervisors, and frontline teams.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills with experience developing safety teams and driving cultural change.
  • Proficient with safety management systems (SMS), audit tools, incident tracking platforms, and LMS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and execution of FCP Euro’s company-wide safety and risk management strategy, ensuring safety is embedded into all operational planning and decision-making.
  • Immediately oversees site-level Safety Specialists, guiding day-to-day safety operations while designing the future strategy. Communicates and builds toward future team requirements for the growing organization.
  • Oversees compliance with OSHA and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining required permits, documentation, and audit readiness.
  • Designs, implements, and manages core operational safety programs—including LOTO, PIT/forklift, ergonomics, PPE, machine guarding, and emergency preparedness.
  • Conducts comprehensive risk assessments, safety audits, and hazard identification activities across fulfillment facilities, driving proactive mitigation actions.
  • Leads incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring timely root-cause analysis, corrective action accountability, and verification of long-term effectiveness.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams (Operations, Facilities, Supply Chain, Technology, Learning) to integrate safety into new facility designs, automation deployments, and process changes. Has authority to temporarily pause operations or delay launches of process if deemed necessary to keep team members safe and mitigate risk.
  • Designs safety training programs for all employees, collaborating with Learning & Development to build scalable onboarding and refresher curricula.
  • Builds and maintains safety performance dashboards, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms that inform leadership and guide continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitates safety committees, communication forums, and site-level engagement programs to strengthen a prevention-first, employee-centered safety culture.
  • Serves as the primary safety representative to executive leadership, insurers, and regulatory agencies, ensuring transparent communication and strong compliance outcomes.
