About The Position

The Amazon Music Business Development team is looking for a Senior Manager, Product Management - Technical to lead our Partner & 3P Developer products and services. Your team drives the integration of Amazon Music on 3rd party devices and applications through developer tools, solution architecture services, and the development of innovative partner integrations. This role drives the roadmap for a set of core software services for partners (e.g. 3P APIs, SDKs, onboarding tools) but also must index highly on innovation to drive new customer proposition that unlock future growth and strategic opportunities. The team is comprised of product, solutions architecture and technical program management. It collaborates very closely with BD, partner marketing, product design, business intelligence, and the broader product/engineering organization, in addition to working directly with external partners. This is a key leadership position on the Amazon Music Business Development team, which is a global team spread across the US, LatAM, and Europe. In addition to leading your team, you will help shape strategy and support the broader BD organization to operate more efficiently and up-level product-led thinking.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of team management experience
  • 5+ years of end to end product delivery experience
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and influencing skills
  • Track record of building and launching developer platforms or APIs
  • Experience leading geographically distributed teams
  • History of mentoring and developing technical product leaders

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long-term strategic vision and product strategy for third party developer services and tools, which include APIs, SDKs/Toolkits, and Self-Service Onboarding
  • Lead and develop a diverse and geographically dispersed team across Product, Solution Architecture and Technical Project Management functions, with responsibility for recruiting, mentoring, and developing individuals
  • Own the end-to-end product experience across partner integrations, ensuring a high quality bar and guiding strategic technical decisions that impact our ability to scale and innovate
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a product roadmap and prioritization framework across multiple stakeholders, driving measurable impact.
  • Generate buy-in for the product vision with leadership, partner teams and partners, managing strategic communications both internally and externally
  • Define and launch new game-changing products and services with partners that drive growth for Amazon Music and support our strategy
  • Anticipate future opportunities based on evaluating the business opportunity and application of new and emerging technologies and changing digital media consumption.
  • Lead product and technical discussions with partners and internal stakeholders, manage prioritization providing clear direction on complex technical trade-offs, and ensuring all solutions meet Amazon's high bar for technical excellence and customer experience.
