About The Position

We are looking for a Head of Process and Equipment Engineering to own the major engineering initiatives supporting scaling production and improving the capability of Rangeview's factory, while growing the team, and maintaining a culture of engineering excellence. This person will be a foundational member of the company, and will have freedom to help shape the way that Rangeview does engineering and brings products to market. A can-do attitude is necessary, exceptional ability will be rewarded, and meaningful equity will be offered.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience in Aerospace and/or manufacturing
• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience (team lead, manager, director, or VP-level role)
• Experience managing large capital projects
• Experience with highly automated production processes
• Deep understanding of process development, root cause analysis, and design-for-manufacturing in a hands-on, physical production environment
• Experienced working across different teams in a startup or high-intensity production environment
• Familiar with aerospace technical and quality requirements - AS9100, NADCAP, etc.
• Extremely high ownership

Nice To Haves

• Experience with investment casting, vacuum melting & casting, heat treatment, ceramics manufacturing
• Experience with SLA printing
• Worked for a high-growth tech company / start-up
• Has been responsible for setting up new manufacturing facilities or production lines 0 to 1

Responsibilities

• Lead & Scale the Process and Equipment team: manage and grow Rangeview’s core engineering function. Grow the team strategically as we scale.
• Drive engineering excellence by implementing best practices in process development, root cause analysis, and process design in a hands-on, physical production environment.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to define technical strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Balance strategic vision with hands-on leadership: comfortable diving into technical details, wearing multiple hats, and ensuring both near-term execution and long-term scalability.
• Oversee project prioritization, resource allocation, and delivery timelines across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Implement processes to ensure scalable product development and seamless cross-functional collaboration with Software Engineering, Production, Business Development, and Finance.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for engineering performance, quality, and productivity.
• Manage the engineering budget, including headcount planning and vendor/partner relationships.
• Champion a culture of ownership, innovation, and excellence within the engineering organization.
• Be responsible for bringing entirely new processes to market, from prototype to production scale.
