About The Position
As a member of Takeda Oncology, the Head of US Oncology Patient Value and Access will play a pivotal role in advancing the company's mission to cure cancer. This position is designed for a Vice President who will lead a high-performing organization focused on enhancing patient access to Takeda's oncology therapies. The individual will be responsible for developing innovative solutions that underscore the value of the Takeda Oncology portfolio while working proactively with payers. This role encompasses strategic and operational oversight of all market access functions for the oncology business in the US, ensuring alignment with the evolving needs of payers, providers, and patients. The Head of Patient Value and Access will be tasked with creating and executing strategies and business plans that address the complexities of the US healthcare landscape. This includes providing expert insights on the competitive access environment, developing reimbursement strategies for both in-line and new products, and leading field teams that engage with various payer segments and provider offices. The role requires a deep understanding of pricing and payer contracting strategies, as well as oversight of trade and distribution strategies to maximize access to Takeda's oncology products. In this leadership position, the individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Medical Affairs, Legal, Compliance, and Government Affairs, to ensure that market access strategies are informed by relevant insights and best practices. The Head of Patient Value and Access will also be responsible for monitoring external market conditions and advising the US Leadership Team on key access policies and reimbursement practices that impact corporate objectives. This role is critical in driving the success of Takeda's oncology portfolio and ensuring that patients have timely access to necessary therapies.
