About The Position

Responsibilities: The Director of Nursing is responsible to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall functions of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards governing long-term care facilities, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to the residents at all times. Requirements

  • Must be an active Registered Nurse license in good standing.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care.
  • Positive attitude toward the elderly.
  • Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care
  • Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of assisted living regulations, compliance standards, and safety best practices.
  • Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in EHR (electronic health records) systems and Microsoft Office is also required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an Assisted Living facility strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in assisted living, geriatric care, or home health is highly desirable.
