The role involves leading the Barclays Joint Operations Team in the USA, ensuring that the Incident response process is effectively managed and that collaboration occurs across CSO and CISO functions. The position requires a focus on preparing business areas across Barclays for incident events, delivering all areas of the Incident Management Standard, and maintaining a robust Security Incident capability within the region. The individual will be accountable for establishing and maintaining Security Incident Management plans and preparedness capabilities in the USA, supporting Cyber Incident management, and engaging with senior stakeholders to ensure understanding of current capabilities and vulnerabilities.

  • Deliver all areas of the Incident Management Standard and ensure consistent implementation.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of a robust Security Incident capability within the region.
  • Support Business Units in maintaining an internal incident response mechanism linked to Barclays-wide requirements.
  • Establish and maintain Security Incident Management plans and preparedness capabilities.
  • Direct incident response across security risks and ensure prompt collaboration across Incident Management Teams.
  • Support Cyber Incident management to resolve security incidents and mitigate risk.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to ensure understanding of CSO and JOC Incident Management capabilities.
  • Negotiate and influence stakeholders to prioritize Incident Response.
  • Review Incident Response capabilities and increase focus and engagement.
  • Gather and communicate risk and threat information to ensure awareness of potential threats.

  • Experience managing significant disruption scenarios in multinational organizations.
  • Experience working across different cultures and driving delivery across countries.
  • Experience managing multi-dimensional risks impacting financial services.
  • Experience running complex projects on target and within budget.
  • Advanced analytical skills to draw insights from diverse data sources.
