The Head of IT is a strategic leadership role responsible for directing the implementation, maintenance, and administration of the organization's information systems and technology infrastructure. This individual will align IT operations with business objectives, ensuring that systems, applications, and networks support and enhance organizational performance. With a focus on innovation, integration, and operational excellence, the Head of IT will define and prioritize business needs, develop initiatives, and lead the strategic planning and execution of IT projects. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can translate complex business requirements into scalable technology solutions while fostering a high-performing IT culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive managerial experience in IT leadership roles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and enterprise applications.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and manage large-scale IT projects.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to align technology with organizational goals.
  • Experience with cloud computing, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex challenges and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership Define IT vision and strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Drive the development and execution of IT roadmaps and project portfolios.
  • Systems & Infrastructure Management Direct the implementation and administration of hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Design and maintain LANs, WANs, and wireless networks; monitor network performance and reliability.
  • Systems & Infrastructure Oversight Lead the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems, hardware, software, and networks.
  • Ensure seamless integration of IT systems with business processes.
  • Performance & Innovation Monitor system performance and user feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop data-driven strategies to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
  • Policy & Governance Establish and approve IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Oversee risk management, cybersecurity, and data governance initiatives.
  • Develop and manage budgets, policies, and procedures to support IT infrastructure.
  • Leadership & Departmental Management Manage and mentor direct report, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise-wide initiatives.
