About The Position

The Head of IT - Investments Solution Engineering will partner with the Bessemer Investment Management team on the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of Bessemer Trust’s next-generation investment platform. This role owns the delivery for a centralized portfolio management and trading ecosystem that enables the firm’s best investment thinking while supporting deep client personalization at scale.   Acting as the primary Solution Owner in an Agile delivery model, this individual serves as the critical bridge between Investment, Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams, as well as external vendors. The role is responsible for translating complex investment processes—including SMA/UMA structures, fixed income and alternative investments, tax management, personalization, and centralized trading—into a prioritized backlog of platform capabilities, features, and user stories.   This role requires a rare blend of investment domain expertise, hands-on platform knowledge, and strong solution management discipline. The successful candidate will be a true mechanic of the platform, with a practical understanding of how portfolio construction, models, restrictions, IBOR, OMS integration, fixed income workflows, alternative investment structures, and rebalancing operate in production—not just conceptually.   This is a highly visible leadership role and a cornerstone of Bessemer Trust’s multi-year investment platform transformation. In addition to solution ownership responsibilities, the role provides people leadership for a small team of Solution Engineers, operating in a player–coach capacity.
