We are seeking a forward-looking leader to drive innovation, ensure scalability, and deliver measurable business impact across our technology and application landscape. We are looking for a Head of Innovation and Development. This position will be based in Raleigh NC.

  • Define, evolve, and implement the innovation and development roadmap in alignment with business strategy.
  • Identify and incubate emerging technologies with high potential business value.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on digital innovation and transformation opportunities.
  • Expand delivery capacity to meet growing business demands through optimized resourcing, governance, and portfolio management.
  • Establish and manage critical metrics, prioritization frameworks, and standard methodologies to ensure secure, predictable, high-quality results.
  • Drive an agile, product-oriented culture across the development function.
  • Lead the completion of the on-premises data center migration to cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Lead all aspects of the modernization and cloudification of the existing application landscape, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Partner with global IT and product teams to harmonize platforms and standardize architecture.
  • Translate AI strategy into actionable roadmaps, delivering enterprise-ready use cases that create measurable business value.
  • Embed AI and data-driven decision-making into operations, engineering, and customer-facing processes.
  • Build and cultivate an ecosystem for experimentation, prototyping, and scaled adoption of sophisticated technologies.
  • Inspire, mentor, and grow a diverse team of innovators, developers, and technologists across onshore and offshore models.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and continuous learning.
  • Ensure strong succession planning, knowledge retention, and workforce readiness for the future of digital transformation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders across Engineering, Product Management, Business Excellence, IT, and Operations.
  • Champion transparent communication and proactive organizational change to drive adoption of new platforms and processes.
  • Continuously evaluate demand requests to enhance value and resource optimization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or STEM field.
  • 8+ years of experience with validated leadership in scaling development and innovation functions.
  • Strong knowledge of agile delivery, governance, and portfolio management.
  • Exceptional communication and collaborator management skills with a track record of driving transformation across global, multi-functional teams.
  • Deep expertise in full-stack development methodologies, cloud infrastructure, platform modernization, cloud-based deployments, networking, secure cloud architecture (AWS or Azure), containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and environment management.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise systems and experience with integrating SAP and Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated success in advancing AI/ML strategies into deployed business use cases.
  • Hands-on experience designing, integrating, or leading AI-driven solutions.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining APIs, particularly with Python and FastAPI.
  • Experience with modern UI frameworks like React and Angular, and the ability to design user-friendly, modern interfaces with proficiency in tools like Figma.
  • Ability to travel 10-20%.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
  • Experience with applications within Siemens’ ecosystem (e.g., SAP, Salesforce.com, Product Configurators, CAD/CAE tools, Siemens NX/Teamcenter).
  • Broad knowledge of programming languages, frameworks, and emerging digital technologies.
  • Experience with VB, .NET, or C# for integrating with older systems.
  • Familiarity with technologies like Chroma, FAISS, or Pinecone.
  • Experience with secure, on-premise AI solutions such as Ollama or RAG-based systems.
  • Ability to administer and troubleshoot Windows Terminal Servers (including user sessions, performance optimization, and licensing).

  • The pay range for this position is $120,540 - $206,640 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary.
