About The Position

AWS seeks a strategic events leader to revolutionize our internal event experiences across virtual, hybrid, and in-person formats. As organizations evolve in a digital-first world, this role will shape how AWS connects, enables, and inspires our global teams through innovative event programming. You’ll lead the transformation of our internal events strategy, leveraging data-driven insights and emerging technologies to create immersive experiences that drive engagement and business impact. This includes reimagining our sales kick-off programs, leadership summits, training initiatives, and global team experiences. AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record scaling global event programs ($10M+ budget)

  • Optimize event technology stack and data analytics to measure and enhance program effectiveness
  • Partner with senior leadership to translate business objectives into memorable event experiences
  • Drive operational excellence through standardized processes, vendor management, and quality assurance
