About The Position

Vaco is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head of Finance to join a dynamic company in the Phoenix area.

Requirements

• Manufacturing experience required
• International operational experience is ideal
• Strong background in GAAP, budgeting, internal controls, inventory, and risk management
• Prior experience with managing a team

Responsibilities

• Assist management with important financial decisions
• Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts and statements to understand the financial state of business
• Supervise employees who work under the controller in preparing financial reports and budgets
• Monitor a company's financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs
• Keep up-to-date on the financial market to understand how to maximize profits and find new expansion areas
• Understand the financial status of a company to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state in good standing
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Record vendor invoices and process for payment
• Receive and process customer payments
• Process semi-monthly payrolls and quarterly bonuses
• Prepare Annual Total Compensation Statements for all employees
• Assist in the development/implementation of accounting policies and procedures
