About The Position

IT8 is a global engineering services company specializing in industrial automation for the automotive and intralogistics sectors. Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Valencia, Spain, we offer PLC and robotic programming, mechanical and electrical engineering services, as well as installation and site services. Backed by MiddleGround Capital, we operate across both American and European markets and are scaling rapidly into e-mobility, commercial vehicles, and aerospace. Our North American hub is located in Austin, TX. We are hiring a Head of Finance to lead all technical operations across the US. The Head of Finance oversees financial operations in the U.S., supports the CFO in financial reporting and planning, ensures compliance with local and corporate standards, and contributes to overall financial performance.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial operation roles, including responsibility for multi-entity or international finance operations - ideally within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP systems), advanced Excel skills.
  • Spanish and English fluency required
  • Improved efficiency and documentation of internal processes.
  • High level of autonomy and proactive problem-solving.
  • Accurate and timely financial accounting.
  • Enhanced internal coordination.
  • Sustainable cost optimization initiatives.

  • Big 4 experience preferred (audit, advisory, or transactions).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate U.S. finance operations, ensuring alignment with global finance teams and strategic objectives.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support global financial consolidation by ensuring accurate reporting of U.S. financial results.
  • Support the CFO in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Ensure consistent accounting practices, internal controls, and process standardization in the U.S.
  • Oversee accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
  • Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow, treasury operations, and financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
  • Partner with business leaders to support growth initiatives, profitability, and financial decision-making
