About The Position

SFC is hiring a Head of Finance to own, build, and lead our finance function. This role will touch everything from payroll and RP&A to strategic finance functions like contract negotiations and forecasting. You will be both operator and strategist. You’ll serve as a trusted partner to the CEO and leadership team while we rapidly scale our business. The Head of Finance will also enforce budget discipline, assist in fundraising processes, and provide the financial insight to guide decisions across the entire company. This role is perfect for a high agency person looking for a fast-paced environment to build the financial foundation for a category-defining company.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of finance experience, ideally with a mix of startup finance, investment banking, growth equity, private equity, and or consulting.
  • A track record of building or scaling a finance function in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience leading teams while staying hands-on with execution across payroll, invoicing, and board prep.
  • Exceptional financial modelling skills.
  • Proven ownership of a complex P&L, with accountability for business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with audits, internal controls, and close processes — with the ability to implement improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial drivers to non-finance leaders.
  • History of partnering with executives and investors, including running fundraising processes.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where strategy and execution go hand-in-hand.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key business partner across operations, GTM, Engineering, and legal by driving analysis and shaping decisions.

  • Collaborate on future fundraising efforts and be the primary finance counterpart for our investors and board.
  • Oversee our ERP implementation.
  • Collaborate directly with engineering to build useful internal tools to surface financial insights across the company.
  • Deliver accurate, timely, and clear reports and forecasts to executives and stakeholders.
  • Provide analytical rigor to guide resource allocation, customer deals, partnerships, and growth bets.
  • Own strategic processes such as capital planning, vendor negotiations, and customer contracts.
  • Oversee daily financial operations, from expenses and payroll to invoicing and cash management.
  • Ensure our books are accurate, compliant, and close-ready at all times.
