About The Position

A rapidly growing, multi-state healthcare organization is seeking a hands-on, strategic finance leader to bring all financial operations fully in-house and serve as a key partner to ownership on growth, profitability, and expansion decisions. This role is intentionally designed as both strategic and operational . While the long-term scope is executive-level financial leadership, the initial phase of the role requires humility, ownership, and a willingness to work in the details. For at least the first six months, this individual will personally manage and execute bookkeeping and accounting functions as they are transitioned from outsourced providers into an internal operation. Success in this role depends on the ability to balance high-level financial thinking with hands-on execution. Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to personally handle bookkeeping during the first 6 months
  • Strong hands-on accounting and financial operations background
  • Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Comfortable making and standing behind financial decisions
  • Track record of accountability and follow-through
  • Experience bringing structure to fast-growing organizations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, ABA, or multi-location service businesses
  • Background scaling organizations or supporting expansion
  • Experience growing from Controller-level responsibilities into a CFO role

Responsibilities

  • Personally bring all bookkeeping and accounting functions in-house from outsourced providers
  • Ensure accuracy, continuity, and structure during the transition
  • Own day-to-day financial operations, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Establish strong internal controls and financial discipline
  • Oversee all spending, budgets, and financial performance across multiple locations
  • Lead FP&A, including cost per client, clinic-level profitability, and margin analysis
  • Support executive decision-making around: State expansion and market entry Clinic performance and sustainability ROI and long-term investment decisions
  • Build financial models, forecasts, and dashboards for leadership
  • Hold teams, vendors, and processes accountable
  • Build and scale an internal finance function over time (Controller/bookkeeping team)
  • Develop systems and processes that support long-term growth
  • Transition from hands-on execution to full CFO-level oversight as the organization scales
