About The Position
M12, Microsoft's venture fund, invests in early-stage startups driving innovative enterprise solutions. With a global portfolio spanning AI (artificial intelligence), cloud, cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies, M12 provides financial, strategic, and technical support to high-potential companies. Our mission is to accelerate innovation by connecting founders with Microsoft's ecosystem and prowess. We are seeking an experienced and strategic finance leader to serve as the Head of Finance, M12 Venture Capital. This role is responsible for overseeing financial operations, reporting, investment due diligence, portfolio management and financial strategy for the fund with the M12 leadership team. In this role, you would be part of the M12 leadership team, engaging with the key stakeholders and working directly with the Corporate VP (Vice President) leading the firm. Ideally, you will bring prowess in venture capital/private equity, operating experience at a early/growth stage venture backed company, and an ability to collaborate across internal and external stakeholders. This is an opportunity to shape the financial future of Microsoft's venture arm, working alongside top-tier investors and technologists. You will play a pivotal role in managing fund strategy, optimizing investments, and driving long-term value creation for M12 and its portfolio companies.
