About The Position

The Head of Electric / Electronic Development for Automotive eCompressors is responsible for leading a global team of engineers across multiple locations, including Europe and China. This role involves managing the Electric/Electronic Development and System Engineering teams for the AC Electrical Compressor product segment, ensuring project deliverables, budget compliance, and fostering collaboration with other departments. The position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in automotive electronics, and the ability to manage resources effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Physics, or similar discipline required; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience managing technical teams in the automotive industry required.
• 10-15 years of advanced technical experience in automotive electronics development, power electronics, and embedded software development required.
• Experience in prototype assembly, functional validation, and automotive quality standards required.
• Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO26262) and Cybersecurity is a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of SPICE processes is desired.
• Experience in customer requirements analysis and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Electric / Electronic Development teams for the AC Electrical Compressor product segment.
• Manage supplier monitoring and system engineering teams.
• Organize department structure and drive continuous improvement.
• Set department goals and monitor their implementation.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and cooperation.
• Define specific objectives and oversee the decision-making process for the area.
• Ensure compliance with general rules, processes, and tools.
• Track and report on resource requests and budget adequacy.
• Conduct interviews and mentor team members.
