About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Global Early Career Program Leader to be based in New York City. This role offers the opportunity to join the Global Talent and Inclusion Team where we drive results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective talent solutions. Our programs are present in 25 countries across General Insurance (underwriting, claims, operations, and actuarial) and the corporate functions (human resources, finance, technology, risk, digital, and administration) focusing on the respective domain-specific development of talent. Our Global Early-Career Program Leader provides oversight and governance to ensure these programs are delivering high quality development opportunities to our over 200 analysts and apprentices around the world while creating the future leaders of our company.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in driving people and talent strategies.
  • Experience leading an early-career program is a plus.
  • Proven ability to design, develop, and implement initiatives supporting business strategy and AIG culture.
  • Ability to consult with and influence within a matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, professional, approachable, and flexible leader.

Responsibilities

  • Lead AIG-wide strategy to enable the immediate development and growth of early-career talent across various businesses and functions.
  • Provide guidance on designs, development opportunities, and delivery models for early-career programs.
  • Advance existing programs through the introduction of new, innovative approaches aligned to business strategy.
  • Lead the Global Early-Careers team and stakeholders in strategy, coordination, and execution of the program and employee lifecycle.
  • Engage with business champions, program managers, and stakeholders to facilitate a program experience that complements development.
  • Evolve strategy to create and manage development of fundamental skills through off-the-job experiences.
  • Partner with Learning & Development team and educational institutions to enhance training and curriculum.
  • Collaborate with talent acquisition team to source high-quality talent pools and ensure exceptional onboarding experience.
  • Consult with business and HR stakeholders on workforce talent and learning needs.
  • Interpret and analyze data to define key indicators of success and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Leverage talent and performance data to enhance skills and capabilities.
  • Manage budgets, costs, and vendors to ensure effective and efficient talent strategies.
  • Provide program status updates to business and HR stakeholders.
  • Set goals and regularly measure performance of the global Early-Careers team.
