As the Head of Design at Locke Solutions, you will play a crucial role in leading the engineering department of our precast concrete manufacturing plant. This position is pivotal as we expand from 1 to 3 locations, with ambitious plans to grow to 5-10 locations in the next 7 years. You will be responsible for managing a dynamic team of engineers and designers, ensuring that our products not only meet but exceed the highest quality standards and customer service expectations. Your leadership will foster a positive and collaborative culture within the team, which is essential for our continued growth and success. In this role, you will oversee the entire design process for all projects, from concept development through to modeling, detailing, and documentation. You will work closely with your team to ensure that all products adhere to quality standards and customer service expectations. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for process improvements and drive their implementation across all teams, ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards. Project management will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, as you will ensure that engineering projects are completed on time while adapting to changing priorities. You will prepare regular management reports to showcase team performance and project progress, identifying areas for improvement. Effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders will be essential to achieving business goals and ensuring a well-functioning engineering department that consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations.
