About The Position

RTM is seeking an experienced Head of Delegate Sales to lead and develop our delegate sales teams across multiple event portfolios. This is a strategic leadership role for someone who excels at coaching, training, and mentoring teams in a B2B selling environment focused on both paid and unpaid event attendance. You will be responsible for building and executing strategies that increase delegate participation rates, developing strong relationships with current delegates and speakers, and working closely with the VP of Events to ensure teams are tracking toward event goals. This role requires someone who can balance strategic planning with hands-on team development while maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration. You'll work across multiple industries — including Healthcare, Technology, Finance, Education, and Government — partnering closely with senior leadership to shape delegate acquisition strategy, launch new events, and scale participation.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience managing sales teams
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and consistency
  • Must be proactive and have the ability to lead under pressure
  • Competency with technology and ability to learn new software and applications

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, and/or AirTable
  • Experience with 2 types of events or more
  • 5 years of experience in B2B delegate sales
  • Experience selling a variety of events, both paid and unpaid

Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop delegate sales teams in the selling process for both paid and unpaid events
  • Create strategies and outreach plans for teams to increase delegate participation rates
  • Build and expand relationships with current delegates and speakers
  • Help develop and execute marketing efforts to generate additional leads
  • Work closely with the VP of Events to ensure delegate teams are tracking toward event goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce event collateral, materials, and follow-up communications
  • Travel nationally throughout the year to support events and team development
