Clearstory is the industry’s first (and only) Change Order Communication and Workflow Platform, built to address the $200 billion problem of Change Orders in commercial construction. The platform streamlines T&M tags, standardizes Change Orders, and keeps project stakeholders aligned in real time. As the Data Analytics Lead, you will build the data foundation that fuels major business decisions, from go-to-market optimization to product growth and customer success. This role is high-impact and hands-on, focusing on building systems, coaching others, and shaping a data-driven culture that scales with the company.

  • Define Clearstory’s analytics roadmap across Product, Growth, Marketing, and GTM.
  • Build the company-wide metrics lexicon and event taxonomy that power our decisions.
  • Champion a culture of measurement, experimentation, and continuous learning.
  • Analyze acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization to identify growth levers.
  • Develop models for LTV, churn, and segmentation that inform product and pricing strategy.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design and interpret A/B tests, adoption metrics, and performance frameworks.
  • Mentor and empower analysts to think strategically and communicate with clarity.
  • Elevate data literacy across departments through training, documentation, and storytelling.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and RevOps to ensure our data infrastructure scales cleanly and reliably.
  • Create dashboards and narratives that connect the dots between data and decisions.
  • Translate complex analysis into actionable insights for executives and teams alike.
  • Explore and implement modern analytics tools that improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • 6+ years in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science—ideally in B2B SaaS or a high-growth environment.
  • Expert-level SQL (BigQuery preferred) and fluency with tools like Looker, Metabase, dbt, Mixpanel, or Amplitude.
  • Deep understanding of data warehousing, modeling, and ETL best practices.
  • Proven ability to create alignment across ambiguous or fragmented data sets.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams, formally or informally.
  • A proactive, startup-minded approach to solving problems and driving impact.
  • Love turning messy data into clarity and insight.
  • Balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.
  • Have a builder’s mindset—eager to create systems that outlast you.
  • Are energized by collaboration across teams and levels.
  • Believe in using data not just to measure, but to inspire better decisions.
  • Direct access to executive leadership and high-impact company initiatives.
  • The chance to shape analytics at a company that’s defining a new category.
  • Hybrid flexibility: 3 days in-office, 2 flex days.
  • Competitive salary and early equity.
  • Subsidized health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • A fast-paced, mission-driven team obsessed with customer success and continuous improvement.
