About The Position

The Head of Corporate Communications is a leadership role within Fujifilm Holdings America Corporation, responsible for managing a team of nineteen communications professionals across various sectors including healthcare, electronics, business innovation, and imaging. This position serves as a key liaison between the company's subsidiaries in the Americas and the Tokyo Headquarters, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. The role involves strategic oversight of corporate communications, public relations, crisis management, and marketing communications, with a focus on enhancing the company's brand and reputation across multiple platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing communications/public relations or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of experience in Corporate Communications with increasing responsibility.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulatory affairs for healthcare and FTC regulations for all businesses.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation and influencing skills.
  • Experience managing communications plans in various life-cycle stages, including crisis communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in communications/public relations is a plus.
  • Experience working with a global company headquartered in Japan.
  • Experience in a public relations agency.
  • Corporate shared services experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage a team of nineteen communications professionals supporting various business sectors.
  • Develop strong business relationships within Fujifilm subsidiaries and guide team members in expanding the Shared Service model.
  • Provide guidance on internal and external communications, including crisis management and public relations activities.
  • Disseminate information from Tokyo Headquarters and collect requested information across Corporate Communications.
  • Develop strategies to support team members in providing adequate service levels to businesses.
  • Mentor staff members and conduct performance appraisals of direct reports.
  • Oversee the management of PR agencies and creative consultants.
  • Collaborate with global markets to ensure consistent messaging across channels.
  • Manage a budget exceeding $4 million and investigate cost-saving opportunities within the department.
  • Support Canadian and South American subsidiaries as needed.
