About The Position

Lumen's Marketing Team is looking for an experienced and creative Head of Content & Social to develop and execute a content strategy that educates, inspires, and engages consumers while positioning Lumen as the definitive voice in metabolic health. In this role, you will lead our Content & Social Team, oversee the creation and distribution of high-quality content across multiple channels, and align content initiatives with our broader marketing objectives. If you're a strategic storyteller with a passion for digital content, audience engagement, and data-driven decision-making, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in content creation, content marketing, and social media strategy, preferably in a consumer tech [B2C], health tech, or a high-growth startup environment.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience, managing content teams and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex health and technology topics into compelling, accessible content.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and community-building strategies.
  • Strong SEO knowledge and experience optimizing content for search and engagement.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple content streams simultaneously.
  • An entrepreneurial, proactive mindset—you thrive in fast-paced environments and are always looking for new opportunities to engage and grow audiences.
  • Passion for health and wellness, with an understanding of consumer behavior in the space.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that supports Lumen's business goals, brand voice, and audience engagement across web, blog, social media, email, and multimedia platforms.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a team of content creators, including writers and social specialists, ensuring high-quality output and alignment with marketing priorities.
  • Oversee the creation, repurposing, and distribution of various content formats, including blog posts, ads, emails, videos, social media content, and web copy.
  • Work closely with teams company-wide to align content with campaigns, product messaging, and key business objectives.
  • Guide Lumen's global social media strategy, helping the team develop platform-specific approaches that drive engagement, build community, and amplify key brand messages.
  • Ensure all content is optimized for search, performance, and engagement, leveraging SEO best practices and analytics to drive visibility and conversion.
  • Establish and maintain editorial guidelines, ensuring a consistent voice, tone, and messaging across all content touchpoints.
  • Analyze content performance, engagement metrics, and audience behavior to refine strategy and improve effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, content marketing innovations, and emerging platforms, including hands-on experience with AI-driven content tools.
  • Build relationships with industry influencers and position Lumen as a thought leader in the metabolic health space.
