The Position PetVet365’s growth is driven by building long-term, joint-venture partnerships with growth-minded veterinarians in targeted geographies. These partners include market-level owners and hospital-level owners. The Head of Business Development will drive this growth strategy by proactively sourcing, developing, and stewarding long-term relationships with high-potential veterinary market leaders, each capable of eventually leading at least 3-5+ de-novo hospitals, while supporting them in finding hospital-level partners to grow their market. This role carries clear accountability for growth, with responsibility for securing a minimum of three new veterinary market leaders annually. By building these relationships, this role will also be instrumental in shaping and executing market growth strategies, both within existing markets and in future target markets, ensuring sufficient partnership development to enable strategic expansion. This is a senior-level, reporting to the CEO, yet hands-on role in a growth-stage company, perfect for someone who enjoys building from the ground up and sees relationship development as a core strategic advantage. You will serve as a primary external ambassador for PetVet365, building trusted relationships with anyone in the veterinary community who can help identify promising veterinarians to become partner owners. Our partner roles are true economic partnerships, with shared economic risks and rewards. The Head of Business Development must deeply understand these arrangements and effectively communicate them to candidates. They will also serve as the relationship liaison throughout our engagement with a candidate until they open their first hospital, skillfully engaging key senior leaders throughout the process. PetVet365 operates with a lean team and an intentionally collaborative culture. This role will interact with all areas of the organization, with a particularly high degree of coordination and alignment with our broader veterinary recruiting team, real estate, marketing, and operations teams.
