The Head of Building Automation at Siemens is responsible for managing the Automation business, focusing on Building Automation products, solutions, services, and software. This role involves defining the overall strategy and roadmap for the automation portfolio to achieve growth and profitability targets. The Head of Automation will design and implement organizational growth plans, champion innovation, and ensure readiness for growth in the USA, collaborating closely with various teams to drive results.

  • Define rollout strategy, lifecycle, and local positioning of the assigned automation product, solution, software, and service portfolio.
  • Design, implement, drive, and continuously monitor organizational growth plans to increase order intake, market share, and profit margins for the automation business.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Area Success Management, Zones, and Areas to achieve business results.
  • Build and develop a robust, engaged, and growth-oriented network within the Building organization.
  • Shape the team, foster collaboration and change, and effectively lead towards strategic goals of SI B US.
  • Monitor relevant markets, including competitor activities and portfolio gaps, to inform growth strategies.
  • Monitor performance of key portfolio and application elements in close contact with sales and partners, deriving necessary actions for growth.
  • Responsible for localization of sales enablement and technical documentation.
  • Initiate internal and external portfolio trainings and knowledge transfer.
  • Proven, successful track record in leading a portfolio organization and Business Development / Sales, preferably in the building automation industry.
  • Typically 10+ years of successful experience in a directly related automation field.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive growth and lead, collaborate, and motivate across organizational boundaries.
  • Ability to build and develop a robust, engaged, and growth-oriented network within the Building organization.
  • Firsthand experience interfacing into a global organization and successfully driving direction/requirements.
  • A strategic-innovative mindset and strong results orientation coupled with driving and taking initiative.
  • A high level of communication skills and a validated ability to collaborate and connect with employees and other partners at a senior management level.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Software, Management or a related field.
  • MBA highly preferred.
  • Proven sales and business development experience.
