About The Position

The Head of the Art Department is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of education for students and teachers at One River School. You will build and lead a team of arts educators to become the cultural backbone within the community. As the Head of Art Education you will combine your love of art education with your leadership skills.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an art educator.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited, four year college or university.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate with knowledge of customer service management systems.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree in Fine Art or Art Education.
• Proven track record in hiring, training, and retaining teaching staff.
• Experience as a team leader and mentor.
• Detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest quality of education for students and teachers.
• Build and lead a team of arts educators.

• Teach a variety of fine arts and digital art media.
• Organize and promote professional gallery shows.
• Keep track of inventory, supplies, schedules, and timesheets.
