About The Position

Reporting to Cedar Gate’s Chief Product Officer, the Head of Analytics will act as a strategic leader and trusted partner, guiding and implementing Cedar Gate’s analytics vision to support the exciting transformation toward value-based care (VBC). This role involves overseeing the creation, development, and delivery of advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and actionable insights that enable payers, providers, and partners to improve outcomes, manage risks effectively, and foster sustainable financial success. Key responsibilities include developing an overall vision and strategy, as well as leading the operational execution to deliver essential data, analytics, and business intelligence. This leader will collaborate with technology and business leaders to ensure data sources are captured and made consumable in support of critical business initiatives such as our consumer journeys, human-centered design, digital strategy, and other high-impact big bets.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required, Master’s degree strongly preferred.
15 + years of data analytics/data science experience
Experience in healthcare or the medical field is preferred
Experience with Machine Learning and AI deployed within healthcare
Demonstrated ability to be a capable and collaborative leader with experience and capability to manage, motivate, and develop a staff and attract and retain outstanding talent
Proven track record of empowering team members and holding them accountable
History of rapidly assessing situations and absorbing & applying new information to decision-making and direction setting
Demonstrated confidence and perseverance in addressing challenges and overcoming obstacles
Currently eligible to work in the U.S. without assistance in getting an employment visa or work authorization.

Responsibilities

Oversees the analytics function, including data analytics, data science, and AI teams
Build scalable, actionable analytics to support risk adjustment, quality measurement, utilization management, and cost/quality optimization
Sets strategic priorities for the function and identifies new business opportunities based on data
Represent analytic capability externally with clients, partners, and industry forums to strengthen the company’s thought leadership
Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse mission-driven analytics team
Advance predictive and prescriptive modeling to support proactive care
Ensure data governance, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards
Determines the best data mining and analytics tools to be used for Cedar Gate’s consumer data
Manages the budget and leads any associated capital planning as it relates to third-party data or data tools
