Plans and directs the activities of a major athletic team. Directs conditioning of student athletes to achieve maximum athletic performance, assesses players skills and assigns team positions, evaluates own and opposition team capabilities to determine game strategy, and coaches or directs coaches to instruct players in techniques of game. Head Men’s Soccer Coach Frostburg State University (FSU), Athletics department is accepting applications for a full-time, exempt Head Men's Soccer Coach. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Position includes the robust University System of Maryland benefits package, which is comprised of annual, personal, and sick leave, holidays, tuition remission, health, dental, vision, and life insurance, and retirement plans. The purpose of the Head Men's Soccer coach position is to administer all aspects of the Men's Soccer program. The head coach position will manage and oversee the daily operations of the Men's Soccer program including practice, gameday activities, recruiting, budget management, academic monitoring and mentoring of student-athletes. The head coach will recruit and retain a roster that maintains 30 players, who are successful in the classroom, socially responsible, and athletically competitive at the NCAA Division II level. This individual will supervise assistant coaches, graduate assistants, and student employees when applicable to their staff structure. This individual will be responsible for conducting their program in accordance with all University System of Maryland, Frostburg State University, NCAA, and Conference Affiliate policies and procedures.
