Head Linen Service Worker- Linen Orange- FT Day Shift

About The Position

Responsible for scheduling, assigning, and coordinating the work of the linen service workers. Functions as specialist, knowledgeable in Linen inventory, providing inventory management support to the departments within UCI Health. Will build working relationships with departments, communicating with nursing managers then relaying needs to management. Duties also include managing PAR levels and communicating any stopgaps to management for injection of new linen. Responsible for responding to and relaying ScrubEx issues as well as the onboarding of new users. This position also is responsible for working with departmental end users/customers, ensuring an effective and streamlined linen supply experience.

Requirements

  • Position is subject to the California DMV's "Pull Notice System" and continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license
  • Must have 3 years prior job-related experience managing a multiple product inventory (SKU) and stock procurement system.
  • Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and a rotating schedule to meet operational needs
  • Must be able to perform heavy manual tasks
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Must be able to provide proof of work authorization

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of hospital MMIS system
  • Knowledge of UCI policies and procedures
  • Inventory management experience in a hospital, clinic or similar environment
