About The Position

SUMMARY: The Head Lifeguard is responsible for maintaining strict safety rules and procedures at the pool and waterfront, while at the same time creating an atmosphere of fun for the swimmers and boaters. Properly maintain the pool and waterfront areas.

Specific Duties-Lifeguard:
Set up buddy system for swimmers
Plan fair and effective system of consequences for rules broken.
Create interesting presentation of rules & safety procedures
Conduct swim tests, help supervise pool or waterfront activities as per
schedule.
Help with daily cleaning and maintenance of all aquatic areas – pool,
changing rooms, equipment rooms, Waterfront dock and equipment
Participate in all staff meetings, evening programs and devotions. Assist
with program components as needed.

Specific Duties- Janitorial/Housekeeping:
General maintenance and cleaning of the guest cottages, chapel, offices,
hallways and bathrooms.

Requirements

• Must pass all applicable background checks.
• English proficiency sufficient for communication with supervisors, co-workers, clients and customers.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (BFOQ)
• At least two years lifeguard experience.

Nice To Haves

• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Preferred 6 months related experience in a personal relationship with Christ and working with youth.
