Head JV Lacrosse Coach (Part-Time / Spring 2026)
About The Position
Notre Dame Preparatory School (NDP), an independent, Catholic school for girls in grades 6-12 in Towson, MD, is seeking a Junior Varsity Head Lacrosse Coach . Founded in 1873 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame, NDP is rooted in tradition but contemporary in education empowering its students to become women who transform the world. The right candidates will enjoy working in a mission-driven, religious educational setting. Employment is part-time/seasonal, beginning mid-February 2026. Approximate season dates: February 17, 2026 to early-May 2026. Work effort is approximately 10 – 15 hours per week. Overview: Qualified candidates will coach the team, coordinate and organize team selections, plan and execute practice sessions, manage game day preparation and in-game coaching and execution as well as manage team communications. Requirements
- High school coaching experience
- Experience as a competitive athlete at the high school or college level
- Willingness to work collaboratively with student athletes, coaching staff, athletics staff and parents
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- CPR certifications preferred
Responsibilities
- Attend and run daily practice from 3:30pm - 5:30pm Mondays to Fridays per week.
- Potential weekend practices, if needed.
- Attend team’s games, typically weekdays throughout the season.
- Work with a group of adolescent athletes in coaching lacrosse and life skills.
- Coach the team
- Coordinate and organize team selections
- Plan and execute practice sessions
- Manage game day preparation and in-game coaching and execution
- Manage team communications
