About The Position

The Lead Gymnastics Instructor is responsible for planning, leading, and supervising gymnastics classes for youth ages 5–11 in a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment. This role ensures classes promote skill development, confidence, and teamwork while aligning with the YMCA’s mission to foster healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. Our gymnastics programs typically run from Oct-Dec & Feb-Apr on Wednesday nights from 4:00-7:00:pm.

Requirements

• Prior gymnastics coaching or competitive experience required.
• Strong knowledge of fundamental gymnastics skills and safe spotting techniques.
• Experience working with children ages 5–11 in a group setting.
• Ability to demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to the YMCA’s mission and core values.
