About The Position

The position is responsible for providing coaching expertise and leadership for the administration of the intercollegiate athletics Football program at Ohio University. It involves managing all aspects of the program to ensure a positive experience for student-athletes, including coaching, administration, compliance, and collaboration with training staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least three years of coaching experience as a head or assistant coach at the collegiate level.
• Management experience required.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of the start date.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree preferred.
• Collegiate football playing experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coach student-athletes to develop tactical, technical, and physical skills for competitive Division I athletics.
• Evaluate skills, instruct, plan, organize, and supervise individual and team practices and competitions.
• Administer the Football program, including hiring assistant coaches and support staff.
• Implement a recruiting program and schedule competitions.
• Manage the program's budget and fundraising efforts.
• Foster alumni relations and staff development.
• Collaborate with training staff to ensure the health and safety of student-athletes.
• Monitor student-athlete academic progress to maintain eligibility.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, Mid-American Conference, and Ohio University rules and regulations.
