About The Position

Head Diving Coach Are you ready to lead, inspire, and build something special this summer? Chevy Chase Club is seeking a dynamic, high-energy Head Diving Coach to lead our competitive diving program and create an unforgettable experience for our swimmers/divers and families. This is more than a coaching role - it's an opportunity to spark team spirit, elevate performance, and create a summer our swimmers/divers and families will never forget. What You'll Do: Oversee all aspects of the dive team from pre-season planning to championship meets. Design engaging practices, refine technique, and help divers build confidence and competitive skill. Hire, mentor, schedule, and evaluate assistant coaches to ensure exceptional instruction and coverage. Execute meets, team events, banquets, and special programs that strengthen Club spirit. Maintain a highly supervised, safety-first environment for all athletes. Communicate effectively with members, promote participation, and grow team retention. Serve as liaison to the Country Club Swim & Dive Association and collaborate with Club leadership. Oversee scheduling, registrations, records, supplies, merchandise, and program communications. Requirements

  • Minimum two seasons of coaching experience (supervisory experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of dive techniques and safety
  • CPR/AED & First Aid certified
  • Safety Training for Coaches certified (or equivalent)
  • Positive, organized, and relationship-driven leader

Nice To Haves

  • Lifeguard certification preferred
