About The Position

The position involves performing a variety of skilled and unskilled tasks in the custodial care and maintenance of facilities. The employee is expected to report to and travel between facilities as the schedule dictates. Requirements

  • Any combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge and experience to perform the duties of the position.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily detail cleaning of restrooms at community park locations from May to October.
  • Weekly cleaning of office spaces at Morris Performing Arts Center.
  • Daily cleaning of restrooms at Morris Performing Arts Center, Palais Royale, and Raclin Murphy Encore Center.
  • Complete daily detail cleaning of Morris Performing Arts Center spaces (offices, restrooms, and primary guest gathering spaces) from November to April.
  • Complete daily detail cleaning of Palais Royale spaces.
  • Complete daily detail cleaning of the Raclin Murphy Encore Center.
  • Maintain positive interactions with guests and other employees.
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, strip, wax, polish, and buff floors; clean carpets and furniture.
  • Wash windows, walls, metal, and woodwork.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies; clean spills, drinking fountains, mirrors, tables, fixtures, blinds, and light fixtures.
  • Pick up litter from grounds and around the building.
  • Dump garbage and reline garbage cans with liners.
  • Inspect and maintain assigned custodial equipment and tools for proper operating condition.
  • Assist Superintendent III in the monthly inspection of the facility and follow through with requests for repairs as needed.
  • Open and close, lock and unlock facility as needed.
  • Keep records of completed daily work.

Benefits

  • Salary: up to $20.33 per hour
  • Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm
