About the position

Quincy Senior High School is seeking a Head Cross Country Coach. This position requires a strong commitment to the development of student-athletes and the ability to lead a cross country program effectively. The coach will be responsible for planning and conducting practices, developing training programs, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants. The ideal candidate will have a passion for running and a desire to foster a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct cross country practices
• Develop training programs for athletes
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants
• Foster a positive team environment
• Complete necessary coaching tests and paperwork prior to coaching

Requirements

• Coaching experience preferred
• Must complete IHSA Concussion protocol training
• Must be ISBE licensed educator or complete IHSA coaching principals/test
• Must complete coaching test, background check and new hire paperwork PRIOR to coaching

Nice-to-haves

• Head Coaching experience
• Previous experience in Cross Country
• Knowledge of the mechanics of running

Benefits
