About The Position
Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for the position of Head Cross Country Coach at Springfield High School for the 2026/27 School Year.
Requirements
- Coaching experience
- Cross Country knowledge and experience
- Ability to work with high school students
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work within school district guidelines and a budget
- NFHS and First Aid certified
- Availability for daily practices and meets
- Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity
Nice To Haves
- Cross Country coaching experience
- Experience working with high school age students
- Fundraising knowledge and/or capabilities
- Understanding of OSAA rules and regulations
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work with individuals and large groups
- Ability to work with parents and booster clubs
