About The Position

The Head Cross Country Coach position at Carson Middle School is open to both employees of the Carson City School District and external applicants. This role is a replacement position for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. The selected candidate will be responsible for coaching the cross country team, ensuring adherence to the rules of the sport, and promoting student achievement, citizenship, and respect among team members. A clear understanding of the assignment and its responsibilities, as well as knowledge of the Carson City School District Policies and Regulations, is essential. Additionally, candidates must complete a First Aid/AED/CPR course prior to starting the position, unless they already possess a valid certification.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, High School Transcript, GED, or a degree from a higher education college/university.
• Last three evaluations or documentation explaining the absence of evaluations.
• Ability to develop self-discipline within participating members.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen test.
