About The Position

The Head Coach at 24 Hour Fitness is responsible for creating a seamless fitness experience for clients and coaches, focusing on member retention and client acquisition. This full-time role involves designing comprehensive fitness programs, mentoring coaches, and supporting the Fitness Coach Team. The Head Coach will spend approximately 60% of their time in personal training sessions and 40% in onboarding and training new coaches, embodying the company's core values.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Personal Trainer or Fitness Coach.
  • Holistic fitness program design and consultation experience required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to work 30+ hours weekly and be open to work weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to adjust and operate fitness equipment.
  • Ability to perform a variety of exercise routines.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Respond professionally to requests and inquiries from guests, members, and staff.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • CPR and AED certifications received through in-person training required.
  • Degree in a related field or current certification through a nationally accredited industry association.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialized fitness credentials preferred.
  • Prior experience as a lead or manager on duty within a fitness organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver comprehensive fitness programs based on clients' goals, including exercise selections and nutrition guidelines.
  • Mentor Coach performance through behavior observation and training.
  • Support in the onboarding and training of new coaches.
  • Assist the General Manager in interviewing and hiring coaches.
  • Provide input to the GM on fitness goal setting, scheduling, and coach performance.
  • Build and generate a strong fitness business through new client acquisition and retention.
  • Set expectations and hold clients accountable to their fitness programs through goal setting and progress tracking.
  • Demonstrate safe and proper exercise techniques to clients.
  • Arrive on time, prepared, and enthusiastic for training appointments and group sessions.
  • Meet minimum productivity expectations servicing clients and group sessions.
  • Create, maintain, and regularly update progress for each personal training client.
  • Assist in member service activities such as fitness seminars and training days.
  • Deliver a positive fitness experience to members and guests through custom coaching sessions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized club by racking weights and team cleaning.
