About The Position

The Head Coach for Women's Soccer at Loyola University Chicago is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Division I women's varsity soccer program. This includes planning and coordinating practices, developing competition strategies, managing recruitment and retention of student-athletes, and ensuring compliance with NCAA and university regulations. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to foster the development of student-athletes both athletically and academically.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 1-3 years of previous coaching experience.
• Working knowledge of NCAA and Atlantic 10 Conference rules and regulations.
• NCAA or Professional coaching experience required; head coaching experience and master's degree preferred.
• Proven competency in soccer skill instruction and motivation.
• Strong teaching and coaching skills with the ability to lead and develop student-athletes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in managing fundraising activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate all aspects of the women's soccer program.
• Ensure adherence to NCAA, Loyola University, and A10 rules and regulations.
• Lead practice planning sessions using innovative techniques to improve student-athletes' skills.
• Develop competition strategies for individual games and create a competitive schedule.
• Implement recruitment and retention plans for student-athletes.
• Manage budget development and fiscal responsibilities.
• Oversee fundraising events and public relations efforts.
• Select, appoint, direct, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches.
