About The Position

Position Summary Eagan is seeking a head coach for the high school boys soccer program. The head coach is responsible for leading and developing a competitive program that emphasizes skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and character. The coach will create a positive, inclusive environment that supports student-athletes both on and off the field.

Requirements

• High school or club soccer coaching experience preferred
• Knowledge of soccer fundamentals, strategy, and skill development
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and families
• Commitment to student safety, inclusion, and character development
• Must meet all district and state coaching certification and background check requirements

Responsibilities

• Plan and run daily practices that focus on skill development, team concepts, conditioning, and safety
• Coach and manage all aspects of games and competitions
• Build and maintain a positive team culture aligned with school and district values
• Support the academic success and well-being of student-athletes
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, assistant coaches, and school administration
• Hire, supervise, and collaborate with assistant coaches
• Follow all school, district, conference, and state high school league rules and policies
• Promote sportsmanship and represent the school in a positive manner
• Manage equipment, uniforms, and facilities in coordination with the athletic department
• Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions
• Develop and oversee the entire boys soccer program, including relationships with youth and middle school programs
• Encourage multi-sport participation and collaboration with other school programs
• Help with offseason planning, player development, and program continuity
