About The Position

We are looking for a Head Chef to join our growing team! The right candidate will have experience as a chef and possess the ability to organize and multi-task effectively. This position requires a strong culinary background, as the Head Chef will be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes, ensuring quality and presentation, and managing kitchen operations. The Head Chef will work closely with the kitchen team to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, while also fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will be able to handle the pressures of a busy kitchen and demonstrate leadership skills to guide the team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. In this role, the Head Chef will prepare all soups, stocks, sauces, and various cooked items according to standardized recipes. They will also be responsible for planning food production to align with meal serving hours, ensuring that the quality, temperature, and appearance of food are preserved. The Head Chef will determine the amount and type of food and supplies required for daily menus, ensuring that all necessary items are obtained in a timely manner. Additionally, the Head Chef will perform weekly food and chemical orders, maintain a kitchen schedule, and oversee the recruitment of kitchen staff, including other chefs and dishwashers. The role requires cooking and serving meals for residents 3-4 days a week, managing kitchen orders, and adhering to a budget set by the management team.
