About The Position

AMFM Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef to join our team at our private residential treatment facilities. In this vital role, you’ll help nourish clients on their journey toward recovery by preparing delicious, well-balanced meals in a supportive and therapeutic environment. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid Food Handler’s Certification (ServSafe Manager Certification preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass background checks as required by the company, state, or federal guidelines
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 40 pounds)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience preparing meals in a residential or healthcare setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervising the Chefs and Sous-Chefs - menu planning, food preparation, menu changes, kitchen budgeting, training new Chefs.
  • Planning and providing lunch and dinner for clients while preparing and providing staff guidance on breakfast and weekend meal service.
  • Ensuring kitchen safety i.e. cleaning up spills, keeping kitchen knives locked up when not in use, etc.
  • Ability to substitute items based on dietary needs of clients as needed.
  • Responsible for safe food standards including sanitation duties, food temperatures, refrigerator temperatures and food handling.
  • Communicates information to the appropriate personnel about unsafe conditions, defective equipment, and emergent situations immediately. Removes any unsafe equipment from use and notifies maintenance.
  • Creating and managing food supply purchases as needed to operate kitchen, menu development and other duties.
  • Be responsible for maintaining and reconciling monthly expense report
  • Keeping a respectful and positive attitude with the clients and staff.
  • Completes all tasks assigned by program management
