At UFC Gym, the Head Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Coach plays a pivotal role in ensuring a positive customer experience while leading the BJJ program at the club location. This position is not only about teaching techniques but also about fostering a community and promoting the sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu among members of all ages. The Head Coach is responsible for managing and assisting with the BJJ program, which includes coordinating youth and adult classes, tracking program performance, and providing recommendations for ongoing improvements. The role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional member service through private and small group training sessions, as well as achieving revenue targets for the gym. The Head Coach will organize and promote in-house events, tournaments, and seminars, ensuring that all instructors adhere to the established class curriculum and regulations. This includes overseeing the proper use of UFC GYM GIs and managing the belt promotion system, which involves issuing stripes to qualifying students and recommending those ready for testing. Regular communication with the Regional BJJ Director and collaboration with other instructors are essential to maintain the integrity of the UFC GYM BJJ program. The Head Coach is also expected to attend monthly meetings and conference calls to stay aligned with the gym's goals and initiatives. In addition to program management, the Head Coach will focus on sales execution by encouraging private and small group training sessions, ensuring accurate administration of client programs, and actively participating in revenue-generating activities such as complimentary workouts and workshops. The role emphasizes a strong member experience, where the Head Coach acts as a brand ambassador for UFC Gym, embodying the “Train Different” philosophy and bringing the T.R.A.I.N values (Timely, Ready, Aware, Inspiring, Noble) to life. Conducting safe and effective private BJJ training sessions while maintaining a clean and organized training environment is crucial to the success of this position.
