About The Position

The Head Boys Track Coach is responsible for coaching individual participants in the skills necessary for achievement in the sport. This position involves planning and scheduling a regular program of practice with the approval and direction of the Head Coach and Athletic Director. The coach will work closely with the head coach and athletic director to establish a schedule for intramural and interscholastic contests, ensuring all revisions are approved. Additionally, the coach will recommend the purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms in cooperation with the head coach and athletic director. Maintaining necessary attendance forms, insurance records, and similar paperwork is also part of the responsibilities. The coach must oversee the safety conditions of the facility or area where the sport is conducted and enforce disciplined and sportsmanlike behavior among students, establishing penalties for breaches of standards.
