About The Position

Gold's Aquatics Club is seeking highly motivated and experienced individuals to join our team as a Swim Coach. As a Coach, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive training program for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. You will provide guidance, instruction, and support to athletes while fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.

Requirements

• 1-3 years previous coaching experience with a proven track record of success in developing swimmers at various levels.
• Deep understanding of swimming techniques, training principles, and competitive strategies.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
• Excellent communication, oral and written, and interpersonal skills, with a heavy emphasis on listening.
• Current certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, AED and First Aid, and USA Swimming (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
• Familiarity with Team Unify, Meet Management software, and USA Swimming rules (if applicable).
• Availability to work flexible hours, required evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular practice sessions and provide on-deck coaching.
• Work closely with head coach and other coaches for consistent coaching and program implementation.
• Guide and support swimmers in setting and achieving ambitious goals, implementing effective training plans for swimmers' improvement.
• Evaluate swimmers' progress and provide individualized feedback.
• Assist in planning and coordinating home swim meets.
• Communicate regularly with swimmers, parents, and club management.
• Stay updated with the latest coaching techniques and trends.
• Adhere to club policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
