Requirements

  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US)
  • Must have a good attendance record
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must be able to work from heights – up to 60’
  • Must be able to wear a respirator
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude
  • The position requires ascending, descending stairs, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, twisting, overhead reach, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic inspection, repair, and final assembly of head assemblies
  • Work from standard work, procedures, and drawings
  • Basic understanding of powder making process and importance of head assemblies.
  • Basic understanding of atomization failure modes and how to diagnose each.
  • Maintain inventory records
  • Perform basic shop maintenance including cleaning when necessary.
  • Participate in periodic tower cleaning (tower dive).
  • Support the cell’s continuous improvement and all CORE and EH&S initiatives, including wearing required personal protective equipment
  • Adhere to Quality guidelines, including participating in plantwide FOD initiatives.
  • Refer difficulties to Supervisor or Team Leader.
  • May be assigned to tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills.
