About The Position

The Security Officer at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort is responsible for enforcing policies and procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and employees. This part-time position operates during the third shift and involves various duties ranging from monitoring entrances to handling customer disputes and collaborating with local emergency services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete C.A.R.E certification training and pass the CARE test within 30 days of hire.
• Previous customer service experience preferred (6 months to 1 year).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Complete knowledge of all internal controls and emergency procedures.
• Excellent attendance in previous positions.
• Willingness to learn and adaptability to new situations.
• Attention to detail and observant nature.
• Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a security role or similar position.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Enforce policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment for guests and employees.
• Verify and guard all currency transfers.
• Post at entrances to enforce policies and Project 21.
• Resolve customer disputes professionally.
• Verify and escort Game Technicians.
• Issue and inventory badges for visitors and vendors.
• Maintain service standards to guests as set by the department.
• Work closely with surveillance and local Emergency Services.
• Retrieve and verify lost and found items.
• Patrol parking lots and assist with valet parking.
• File reports on safety, OSHA, lost and found, and incidents of liability.
