About The Position

The Dual Rate Supervisor, Table Games Service at Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel is responsible for performing the functions of both a Table Games Supervisor and Dealer based on the business needs of the casino. This role involves accurately administering and overseeing operations in compliance with casino regulations and procedures, while also creating strong relationships with guests. When assigned to the Poker Room, the supervisor is responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with all Poker policies and procedures, as well as supervising the operation of assigned Poker games to ensure integrity and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • BSBA degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Completion of Table Games Dealer Training School required.
  • Proficient in at least 1 major game (Craps, Roulette, Poker, and/or Baccarat) within 1 year of hire.
  • Excellent customer relations, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to comply with regulatory issues and follow detailed procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of casino rules, regulations, and Internal Control Procedures.
  • Documented supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including handling volatile situations.
  • Proficient in Windows-based office software.
  • Ability to learn interaction with CMS and Caesars Rewards systems.
  • Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene.
  • Demonstrated high levels of Spotlight service skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a dynamic and energetic leader, fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation, and open communication.
  • Establish credibility as a leader with high integrity, acting in the best interests of the property and company.
  • Provide recognition and rewards for superior performance.
  • Counsel, guide, coach, evaluate, and instruct assigned personnel in their duties.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of dealers and pit staff to ensure adherence to regulations and policies.
  • Use independent judgment to issue or recommend employee discipline and awards.
  • Participate in hiring, performance evaluation, and termination processes.
  • Prepare and coordinate performance reviews of assigned personnel.
  • Alert Casino Manager to potential safety problems.
  • Maintain key security and a working knowledge of all table games and procedures.
  • Remain alert to unusual activities by employees or guests and escalate when appropriate.
  • Change cards/dice, open and close games, and verify fill slips and markers.
  • Settle disputes in the Table Games area and ensure high-quality guest service.
  • Interact with guests to ensure their development and satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate excellent facilitator skills in resolving conflicts.
  • Assist in the efficient operation of Poker tables when assigned to the Poker Room.
  • Maintain knowledge of local gaming laws and regulations.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner.
