About The Position
SUMMARY\: To provide for the routine operation and minor maintenance of university vehicles in the transportation of materials or passengers. WORK SCHEDULE\: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, to include some nights, weekends, and holidays. Major Duties / Critical Tasks Transfer patients and other assigned passengers on and/or off campus, assisting them in entering and exiting vehicle. Deliver and/or retrieves materials as instructed. Assists in the loading and unloading of materials from vehicle. Maintains daily log of mileage, number of trips, passengers/cargo, destination, and fuel and oil consumptions. Inspects condition of assigned vehicle on a regular basis with regard to oil, fuel, tires and water. Reports any needed adjustments or repairs to supervisors. Adheres to internal controls established for departments
Requirements
- One year of related experience required.
- Completion of defensive driver course within 30 days of hire.
- Must possess current Texas Class "C" driver's license, and a clean driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Delivery driver experience is preferred.
