As a HCD Technician I at PCB Piezotronics, Inc., you will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, responsible for performing a variety of assembly tasks that require a keen attention to detail and the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions. This role is essential in ensuring that our sensors, which are used in various industries including aerospace, automotive, and civil engineering, meet the high standards of quality and performance that our customers expect. You will work under general supervision, utilizing your knowledge of techniques, materials, tools, and equipment to contribute to the production process. Your responsibilities will include understanding and implementing the ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards, which are critical to our operations. You will follow established procedures related to workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements, ensuring that you wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling production chemicals. You will refer to technical drawings, routers, and specifications to perform simple sub-assemblies on various product lines, and you will be responsible for conducting final inspections of products to ensure they meet our quality standards. In addition to assembly tasks, you will learn to use various tools and equipment, including microscopes, fine hand tools, and inspection processes. Your role may also involve cleaning, descaling, and passivation processes, as well as performing connector spot welding and product testing. You will operate and maintain equipment such as spot welders, descaling/passivation equipment, vapor degreasers, leak testers, and electrical meters. Your commitment to quality and total customer satisfaction will be paramount, as you strive to achieve zero defect status in your work. You will also provide valuable feedback to your supervisor and co-workers to positively impact quality and output.
